When you are planning a trip with wheels, it’s important to make certain preparations. If you have wheelchair tires with air, you need to fill them up close to the maximum (my Panthera can handle 145 PSI). Having hard tires makes it MUCH easier to wheel.
However don’t overdo it! Too much air can lead to a sudden explosion and a flat tire. And wheeling yourself to a bicycle shop can be pretty exhausting. Cobble stone streets do not make it any easier (speaking from someone elses experience)…
You should also make sure to remove hair and filth both from the front wheels and the big ones. And a dash of wheelchair oil doesn’t hurt either. A happy chair makes a happy holiday…
